Questions and Answers

What do you hope to accomplish if elected?

  • I would reach out to leadership in the counties that border District 2 and engage in a conversation regarding development, crime, etc., to develop relationships toward cooperation for the good of the District and region as a whole.
  • I would work with the Mayor and other council members to develop plans for growth and development that benefit all of Braselton. I would continue to volunteer with organizations in Braselton that bring positive experiences to citizens and visitors.
  • I would like to explore the possibilities for improving the look of the Hwy 53 corridor. Manage the development of warehousing, fast food restaurants. Work with Code Enforcement to develop guidelines and actionable items to insure that their properties and business are kept clean, well lit and patrolled. Amend the current codes if needed.

What would you do differently?

I would commit the time necessary to follow through on special projects, assignments and tasks that I agree to complete for the Mayor and Council. I will devote the effort necessary to deliver on these assignments on time and thoroughly.

Why are you the best candidate for this position?

I am running for this position to bring experience, compassion, and accountability to public service – focusing on stronger families, transparent government, and a thriving community.

What is the most important issue facing this office, and how would you address it?

I feel an important issue would be growth trends. I would check census data and local planning reports for population, housing and employment growth. Host town halls, listening sessions to hear what people think about growth. I am an advocate for smart-growth: compact, walkable, mixed-use development rather than unchecked sprawl.
